About the Role
Become a part of the team that delivers solutions for Asset Management Operations team, builds data transformations and provides reporting solutions to streamline business processes and adhere to financial regulations. You will work with a variety of tools and technologies and cooperate with multiple stakeholders within the organization.
Our team is a diverse mix of 10, working in hybrid setup with a footprint in different world locations, with majority of the team located in Bratislava. The team is part of Asset Management department, and we cover various topics, including regulatory reporting, data reconciliations, data reporting and process automation.
Responsibilities
In the role of Senior Data Engineer, your core responsibility will be to maintain existing and develop new ETL transformations in Python (polars, pyspark) and SQL. You will also maintain reporting solutions including PowerBI dashboards and PowerAutomate flows
As a member of our team, you will:
• Work with a wide range of tools and technologies
• Debug, maintain and develop SQL and Python data transformations
• Create and maintain small applications in Palantir's Foundry platform
• Perform analyses of existing code, identify problems and propose solutions
• Analize requirements, understand specifications and transform them into technical solutions
• Work closely with business analysts and business stakeholder
Requirements
Knowledge of Polars. You could initiate a dataframe. We understand the value of AI in development, but if it comes to that, you can work with classes, functions and API calls also without ChatGPT. You know that 'async' is not a typo. You work extensively with SQL and can create tables, views or evaluate an execution plan. You are willing to upskill in PowerBI and Palantir's Foundry platform (including low code, no code configuration).
• University degree or equivalent experience in a technical role
• 5+ years of relevant working experience on data transformations
• Proficiency in Python, preferably PySpark or Polars
• Proficiency in SQL, preferably Oracle or PostgreSQL
• Sound communication skills with stakeholders across an organisation, with good command of English
Nice to Have Skills
• Experience or willingness to learn Power BI, PowerAutomate, SSRS, Palantir's Foundry
• Experience with Jira, DevOps, Azure
• Knowledge of financial products, asset management topics
