It operates data centres, bank systems, POS terminals and HW (servers and PC) and is responsible for development, implementation, support and servicing of banking software and its operations in Central and Eastern Europe.
About the Role
The Enterprise Integration Services Department is part of the client´s Core Systems division. They provide mission critical, high availability, high volume, companywide IT services like Middleware (Apache Kafka and Service Bus), API Management, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and others. They support the entire lifecycle of their applications, including analysis, design, implementation, test, and production support.
Responsibilities
- A main task will be to consult development teams when/how to use Kafka and help them with integration into their applications
- Design, configure and manage Apache Kafka clusters
- Monitor Kafka performance and troubleshoot issues
- Optimize Kafka configurations for high throughput and low latency
- Implement security measures for Kafka topics and brokers
- Extend/update existing automation for Kafka infrastructure (Ansible)
Requirements
- Strong background in software development and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with streaming and messaging technologies
- Experience with Apache Kafka and related technologies is a plus, but you can also learn this on the job
- Knowledge of security protocols and best practices
- Understanding of certificates and PKI
- Experience with automation tools
- Basic understanding of Grafana and Prometheus
- Good communication and collaboration skills, mainly in English
