About the Role
This is the first position in region on roadmap to establish new nearshore consulting branch.
Your competencies would fall under categories:
Leading and managing teams to deliver outstanding project results
Managing client relationships and providing thought leadership in your respecitve area (Risk/Transaction Reporting/Operations & Settlement/Digital Assets/Digital Transformation)
Monitoring market developments and identifying new trends as well as developing appropriate solutions
Responsibilities
Strategic consulting & regulatory implementation
- Analysis of regulatory requirements and identification of relevant effects on business - processes and IT systems.
- Development of solution strategies to optimise and ensure regulatory compliance in respective area of specialization.
Creation of target images and operating models for the financial institutions.
Project management & client management
- Management of projects to implement new regulatory requirements and optimise existing processes.
- Coordination of interdisciplinary teams consisting of internal experts, clients and technology partners.
- Managing communication with stakeholders, including at C-level (CRO, COO, Head of Compliance, IT).
Process analysis & technological implementation
- Support in the identification of process and data quality problems in regulatory reporting.
- Evaluation and support of IT implementations to automate and optimise reporting processes.
- Support in the selection and implementation of RegTech solutions for compliance with regulatory requirements.
Change management & audit support
- Development of measures for the sustainable implementation of regulatory requirements within the organisation.
- Supporting clients in regulatory audits, e.g. by supervisory authorities or internal audits.
- Training and coaching of internal client teams to strengthen regulatory competences.
Market development & thought leadership
- Identifying new challenges and trends in the respective area
- Developing white papers, specialist articles or internal best practices to position our client as a leading consultant in this area.
- Participation in relevant conferences and dialogue with regulatory authorities.
Requirements
- Completed degree in finance, economics, computer science, business administration, or a related field (Master’s/MBA or PhD preferred)
- Several years of professional experience in the financial sector, with a focus on risk management frameworks, models, processes, and methods, or obtained with a consulting firm
- A solid knowledge of your specialized area (Risk/Transaction Reporting/Operations & Settlement/Digital Assets/Digital - - Transformation) and its required norms and reglations (as Basel, EMIR, SFTR, MiFID II, MiCA, SEC, BaFIN
- Very good command of German and English, both spoken and written
- Willingnes to travel (2 day every 2 weeks)
- Structured way of working and strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to simplify complex technical and regulatory topics for diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of and experience in data analysis, risk data models, and tools are an advantage
- High self-motivation, flexibility, and willingness to travel
- Teamwork and intercultural competence
- And last but not least...a healthy sense of humour
